Hi Roo,

I can relate to the frustration of not having the life you want after many years of meds, therapy, meditation, exercise, etc. So many times I've complained in therapy that I feel like a failure when I'm unhappy. I also share the confusion you mention about how much to medicate symptoms and how much to try to work with them as part of life. Having a birthday doesn't help either, does it? (though 34 sounds like a wonderful young age from where I'm sitting, here on the cusp of 40).

If it's any help, I think that self-acceptance increases with age. As far as I can tell it's the only compensation, but it's a big one.
