Yup. My father was an alcoholic. And I have a natural tendency to feel responsible for the world. Although much less than before - actually perhaps not enough now. I aks myself at the end of the day if I hurt anyone. If not, I tell myself I did a good job that day. At times, I had to take care of too many people who should have taken better care of me, so over time I learned to detach myself and selfishly think of my own welfare. I'm starting to exist, which is good and new.
