I didn't know what to call him for the first six months or so, then he called me and used his first and last names, so I started calling him by his first name - and I heard a woman leaving his office do so around the same time.

In hindsight, I wish we had talked about it at first. He calls me by my first name, and I sure wanted to do the same. He is younger than I am by a couple of years, and I do have trouble with "authority figures". I wish I had said in the beginning: as you call me by my first name, I'd like to do the same with you.

Btw, he's a psychiatrist, an MD, y'know.
