At 20 mg it definetly has a lot of SERT inhibition. I did the same thing you did but with prozac. I started it at 20 mgs and took it for 4 years then stopped it and went back on but it didn't work. So I came off it and then my cognitive abilities went to crap once it really cleared my system. Now it seems any serotonergic drug I try I am hypersensitive to and they do make me feel flat. However the first time I tried prozac I felt better and didn't feel like I was takinga drug. Now when I take a serotonergic drugs I get this weird pinching headache near the front of my head and feel dopey in the afternoon. Wish I had never taken anything. 6 years drug free didn't return me to my previous selft either.
That is my experience. Maybe prozac will work for you. Maybe the doses are too high for your body now. That seems to be the case with me atleast. I felt some motivation recently with 2.5 mg prozac, but then blunted at 5mgs. I can't say what your experience will be. Be sure to give it atleast 4 weeks to start to work. Its a slow acting drug.
