Tks Clearskies ...

So, if there is no change in hormone production, one w/ an overload-or-underload of a particular hormone (I believe it to be estrogen.), causing PMS or PMDD, would not benefit, I guess.

I had TAH-BSO re: slight uterine prolapse, but rea*ly 4 PMDD, and what it did do, was stop the ups and downs; I remained in the same mood all the time. This was better, but doc wished had kept an ovary as I seem to require a great deal of estrogen.

FYI - Eff-XR works w/ estrogen patches to totally wipe out hot flashes. B4 Eff-XR, was still having a few, shorter, less hot, w/ the patches on. When on estradiol valerate injections had 'zero' hot flashes, but d.c.'d it re: appetite stimulation.

tksagain, cf

There would be the benefit of the possibility of anemia being averted though, I believe.(?)
