I agree with everyone else: it's honoring her memory and your love for her to continue to enjoy what you shared together.
My grandmother died at 8:10AM, 11 September 1983. I have many things of hers, furniture, sewing supplies, even her pots and pans. (Well, some of the pots and pans were her mother's, but she still used them.) There are times when just touching something of hers brings her back to me so vividly -- and that still brings a warmth to my heart. I'm very glad I have those things.
Most of the sewing supplies -- thread, seam bindings, etc -- can no longer be used. They're too old, and wouldn't be strong enough for sewing. But I keep them, and when I'm looking for something in my sewing supplies, I love to see them there. I love knowing that, in some way, she's still with me.
