Yes, me, too! That's how grief occurs, I think. A thought at a time, a remembrance, a song you hear...

I have not read all of these posts, but I hope you are ok, and I'm so glad you appreciate your mom's hard life (and will not use it to justify any hard times you experienced at her hand). I'm in a VERY similar situation, although my mom is still alive.
