Yes, yes, yes! I agree with your words! Wow, do you ever write beautifully!

I love solitude. I crave it. I think I even need a minimum daily requirement of it, & if I don't get it, I show sins of deficiency.

It's a hard commodity to come by in my household of 9. Especially since they don't leave the house to go to school.

I have to get very creative to get my solitude requirements met. Long walks in the early morning. Long breaks in the bathroom (hey - they leave me alone!). Hanging "warning - do not disturb unless you want to have a crazy Mama!" signs on locked doors.

But lonliness - I've had that while I've been alone & didn't want to be, & I've had that while surrounded by others. To be in a crowd & to not connect is lonely.

I need both. I need some solitude, preferably daily. But I need deep, meaningful connections with others, too. Daily is nice there, too.
