I don't think it is an either-or scenario.
I would say to keep praying, but perhaps not be too selective of what you deem to be God's method of healing. Your mind is a gift. Don't be afraid to use it to its maximum potential to help you find your healing. Hopefully, the minds of science will help facilitate this sooner rather than later. With this illness, any type of healing is a miracle.
