stimulant meds and guilty conscience

I will admit that years ago when I was in college I abused my ADD meds thinking it would help me get through long nights of studying and I always felt so ashamed. But now that I no longer abuse them but I still feel that guilt. I also feel ashamed for liking the way I feel after I take it. Anyone feel this way or does anyone have feedback..Thank you
