Dena, I guess it wasn't clear in the cut and paste, that in the presentation David Haight was intermingling actual scripture verses with the experience. Was there a particular phrase that caught your attention?
I see the same Jesus as you do, perfection in speech, happy and playful with little children, very human in nature, Godly in spirit. But he had a mission and it was to the believers. He hesitated to come right out and testify of himself, because what he did was to testify of the Father who sent him. I find it very interesting that his mission was such a private affair. For some reason I cannot picture him standing in the middle of a colluseum preaching loudly to thousands of people. He touched hearts one by one, and by that they knew who he was. I have sat where he taught the sermon on the mount, above the the Sea of Galilee on Mount Beatitudes. It is a natural amphatheatre, with unbelievable acoustics. Here he spoke to 5000 and 4000, taught the beatitudes, etc. It is a quiet serene place. I see him more as a teacher than a preacher. He has never stopped teaching. even in my mind, I can feel him teaching me one precept at a time, little by little, precept by precept.
