I know it can get totally confusing but if the meds work for you certainly there must be compassion for the need for meds. I am sure other people need vitamins....etc.
The whole thing about Buddhism is compassion....so why would anyone judge you. I think it's magnificent that meds work...I am in awe of chemical products that can give one a liveable life. I think the Dali Lama is working on the science of the body and brain with some brilliant scientists currently. There are books out that talk about the research. I am a buddhist as well and I would never say you shouldn't use meds for your well being. I think you are doing the right thing to make your life better. I really don't know if I have answered your question at all. But I support you in doing what you need to do.
