In reply to your sacred objects?, posted by madison88 on October 6, 2002, at 2:00:11

I have a few sacred objects. Like you, I have an egg-shaped stone. It's even white.

I also have a green glass paperweight, round, with a flat bottom and bubbles floating through it--the old-fashioned kind of paperweight. It belonged to my grandmother, and, when I was little, I used to pretend it was a crystal ball. I still pretend that and ask it questions sometimes!

My grandmother's jewelry is also sacred. Each Jewish holiday and each year around my grandmother's birthday, I get this weird calling to put it on without realizing the connection to the holidays. I just get this urge to wear it, and then I look on the calendar and notice.
