My meds are making me sluggish and lethargic for the first 2-8 hours of the day. Oh well. I try to walk to do my errands, and ride my bike to work (when anxiety and weather permit!). Take the stairs rather than the elevator.

Then I go back to couch potato for 8 minutes. think of it as an "interval workout" haha, but it's better than nothing!

Good suggestions :)

My dietitian just taught me how to eat healthy. I am on an approximated 1400 calorie diet (with no need to count calories, thanks to her help). It's all about making healthy food choices. I eat 3-5 servings of veggies a day, 3 fruit, 6 grain (including starchy veggies like potatoes, corn & peas), 3 protien (meat, eggs, cheese, fish), 3 milk or yogurt, and i'm allowed 3 fat servings (oils, sweets, alcohol, etc). If I keep within my servings everyday, it works. I've lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks. My dietitian also gave me information on serving sizes, because us Americans tend to eat more than we need (restaurants tend to give you enough food to feed at least 2 people!).

This has all really helped me, but my plan may not work for others. A dietitian can help you figure out how many calories you need to cut to lose weight SAFELY and EFFECTIVELY.

good luck,
cloudy
