Mother with Bipolar disorder

Posted by abe123 on June 24, 2006, at 0:46:13

How does it feel to be a parent who has passed on their manic/depressive tendancies to their child? I can't talk to my mom, especially about this. I've tried and she just starts to cry. I've never done or said anything that should make her feel that I blame her for anything, but she seems to feel guilty to the umpeenth degree. Any tips for how I can talk to her about this or improve our relationship I'll appreciate.

Thanks
Abe
