Depression too severe and we both don't think she can deal with the projected wait at the "safe" rate of increase; risk of substance abuse relapse huge w/continued depression. Pattern of massive and indiscriminate use of psychedelics and club drugs nearly fatal several xs. Pdoc shaved increase rate from 7 days to 4; consulted with child neuro to compare increase rates for kids with Lennox-Gast. synd. Nothing clear here either bcuz kids nearly always on other AE med. Also stern warning that Lenn-gast. synd. considerations NOT similar to bipolar.
If the adderall doesn't help, will consider 24 hr/day pnurses in home or inpatient -- god knows where tho. Neither short-term nor residential care would be useful. And no way we could get insurance to go for it either. They only seem to be interested in suicidal actions, active psychosis, or severe active addiction -- none of which she has.
Pdoc thinks the same as I do: wants to go faster but no info on how much faster we can go.
Shave increase interval to 3 days or possibly 2?
Thanks Bob and esp. for yr psychopharm tips which helped us decide to restart in the first place.
