Studies have shown one needs at least 2,085mg EPA and 348mg DHA = 2,496mg total for Omega 3 to be effective for depression and other psych issues. Krill comes in such low doses and it is so expensive. One would have to buy a lot of Krill based pills to equal the suggested 2,496mg. My husband and I just had this conversation. It's important that the Omega 3 bottle is opaque becaus the pills can go rancid. We choose to refrigerate our Omega 3 pills. I personally would choose Omega 3 over Krill.
