You won't know what works for you until you try it. In my experience, mg taurate is somewhat less sedating than mg glycinate and mg malate less sedating than both.
You might also try smaller doses at a time to decrease sedation. One of my favorite magnesium products lately is called "Pure Essence, Ionic-Fizz Magnesium Plus, Raspberry Lemonade Flavor".
The taste is quite good so you could sip magnesium water all day and get a very gradual dose. Mg malate in water isn't too bad either, but this ionic fizz stuff is a lot better.JL
