I was just reading another post where someone said taurine does not cross the BBB, so maybe it officially does not. It's definitely had an effect on me multiple times in the past though, at 1 - 2.5 grams (usually 1.5 or 2 g), and i thought it was believed to anyway. It's strange though if it officially does not cross. It's like with GABA-- it supposedly does not cross the BBB yet a large number of people have claimed to have noticeable effects from its supplementation, and i believe them (i have not tried GABA). Anyway just wanted to throw that in there.
> It does cross the b/b Barrier. I'm not sure if it needs to be taken on an empty stomach. Some amino acids are much better absorbed (into brain at least) without others competing, with others it doesn't matter. Not sure w/ taurine. I think i have noticed more noticeable effects taking on empty stomach but not sure.
