In reply to magnesium glycinate for anxiety, posted by mogger on September 8, 2007, at 23:31:19
personally i've found magnesium (i didn't take glycinate) to be an imperfect treatment for anxiety.
magnesium is a cofactor in the degradation of norepinephrine. too much norepinephrine can mean overstimulation, insomnia, etc. too little norepinephrine can lead to lack of energy, motivation, etc. i thought i could feel this when i took too much Mg.
this is just my personal feeling combining some experience and research. obviously your experience may vary.
