I'm in the same boat. I am almost off of Effexor now. It helped some with depression but it did nothing for my terrible problem with concentration and my lack of motivation. I'm thinking of trying Ginkgo myself for a variety of reasons. Here's a link you might find helpful:

It's from "The Natural Pharmacist". They lean on the conservative side in term of benefits. If there aren't 10 million double blind studies proving something, then they won't acknowledge any benefit. But they have a lot of good information including an "Interactions you should know about" section at the end.
