Babble, a supportive milieux

Posted by Toph on June 24, 2020, at 15:04:06

So if you, for genuinely noble reasons, established a facility for the homeless. You offered comfort, 24-hour protection and sustenance as best available. You tried to involve members to monitor and discipline participants who appeared to threaten the wellbeing of others. Almost everything for years went well and most felt supported and sustained by the refuge.

Then, for whatever reason, people found alternative safe places to rest, congregate and identify. Would you understand and forgive the founder who abandoned his haven leaving many dependent residents to fend for themselves?

Or would you forgive the founder of a precept who's intent was the creation of a safe place with a moral code of human conduct benefiting the society, even though it occasionally harmed and segregated many minority participants? Is Babble a biased, oppressive place or a warm, supportive haven for a fringe population of psychologically challenged individuals needing support from like-minded, biochemically impaired, and emotionally fragile individuals?

It was primarily the later for me at one time. I wish it were a sanctuary for me again, regardless of it's imperfections and mine.
