We all have our own opinions.

How something is stated can have a dramatic affect on how people interpret and/or react to it.

"Bob" is big on "I" statements. I just think one should practice what one preaches and be the "eminent" example to do it to the nth degree.

It makes me wonder why all the embellishments? Why not be direct? I don't know enough about linguistics but to me if I were about to give someone news I think they might not like I would try and proceed it with platitudes.

but that is just my opiniion. I see manipulation by the way things are worded.

What I wrote was my interpretation of the indirect answer.

It does not matter. In the end things here never seem to change much. I guess if I were on the site more often I might not see things that way.
