I wonder how much tagging newbie notices and posts to Twitter and Facebook could be expected to generate new posters? As I understand, a following via already knowing about Dr. Bob or Psychobabble would have to be happening and that's where the new posters would be generated from. True? or is that off base?

I also question as to if there is a real generating of new posters or are there some recycled ones (not following name change policy) who are posting as newbies. Dr. Bob's notations of posting under more than one name has been noted on some of the forums.

The expansion of the posting population on the forums does appear to be needed but I wonder how that is happening in a real sense simply by extending what social networks have references to the forums.
