I really do appreciate your offer to try and make me feel better. Kath is right maybe it was never his intent to make us feel safe here but somehow I did and now I don't. Maybe Dinah's resignation was just the catalyst that lead to the storm. I don't want her to feel bad. But now he must for staying silent which I perceive as another experiment on Bob's part and not busy(iness) at all.

> Some generally accepted meanings of {intent} are that there is a design or purpose to what is intended. As to determining as to if there is intent or not, one can go to the TOS here and try to determmine if there is an intent and if so, to determine as to what is the intention.
> Going to the TOS here, Mr. Hsiung posts a request for members to trust him in two aspects.
> One is to trust him that he is doing his best to be fair and the other is to trust him that he is doing what in his thinking will be good for the community as a whole.
> Since these are requests to {trust}, a generally accepted meaning of to {trust} is to place confidence or reliance in some type of relationship for something in the future to be delivered. These things could be what the goal of the forum is for, which is for support and education.
> To determine if that is the intent of Mr. Hsiung here or not could be determined by as to see if what is what the members could think is intended is in fact delivered as to the members receiving what they think is what is intended, support and education.
> This placing of confidence is sometimes thought of as a {promissory note}, like a check, which is a promise to pay. Sometimes one will give a check to someone and stop-payment before it is cashed and the recipiant goes to the bank and is told that the check will not be honored. Sometimes when someone has a check not honored by the bank it could be because there is insufficient funds in the account and sometimes the check could be a forgery. If the check is not honored by the bank, then the maker of the check could be a debter to the one that the check was made to, for the promise to deliver was not honored.

Let us go on to see if a determination can or can not be made here concerning the situation at hand here.
The TOS here states that Mr. Hsiung wants to be open to feedback which is coupled with the statemnet requesting that members try to accept what he decides and trust him to be fair and that he does what in his thinking will be good for the community as a whole.
A generally accepted meaniing of {feedback} is that there is a {controlling source} and that those giving feedback to the controlling source could be looking for the controlling source to be corrected or clarified. If one assumes that there is a {trust} involved in this wanting to have feedback from reading Mr. Hsiung's TOS here, then could not there be members here that expect the feedback that is written as in the TOS here to be delivered?
If so, then those expecting delivery and the feedback is not delivered, could then those people suffer from some type of anxiety from such as disappointment and unfulfilled expectations that they thought were something to be expected as some type of promise? An if so, how could that situation to those people effect their mental health? Would a situation like that facillitate support from others if they are experiancing anxiety from the unrealized expectation of their feedback not being delivered? In another sense, could those people that expect feedback and the feedback is not delivered, be subjected to a situation where they can not get support from other members here because of the anxiety that they experiance from the undelivered, that they expect, to be delivered and so that their focus is away from suppport from others about what they originally were seeking?
to be continued...
Lou
