You appear to be maing an assumption that no one was offended by your Politics posts and that Dr. Bob just blocked you out of thin air. It's more that the posters who are upset by posts know better than to say so themselves, because that's sort of not how Babble works. Babblers know to wait and let Dr. Bob handle it.
Is he always right? No. No one is. Do I always agree with him? No. Of course not. Reasonable people differ. Do I consider him a dictator? Only in the sense that this is his site and he is the one with the decision making power on this site. Does it mean that I don't agree completely with his blocking policy on Politics? No. I agree completely with the policy while I might not agree with all the applications. Are you asking if anyone was offended by your posts? Why ask that question if your answer is that people are overly identified with their political leanings? If you're going to ask that question and expect an answer, people need to feel that their answer will be respectfully received. If they think it will be met by commentary on how Americans have a problem with boundary enlargement, then I don't think they'll answer honestly. I won't.
Given your stated intent for your recent posts, I for one have nothing further to say on this subject. At least not in response to any but the most empathetic of posts that appear to neither wish to upset people nor to p*ss them off. And if I were dictator of this site, I would never ever change a single thing that someone tried to change in this way. In fact I'd dig in my heels and vow never to change it. Just on principle. Because changing it would encourage this sort of tactic.
