I don't understand

Am I not allowed to tell somebody they insulted me? I thought I did it in a fairly civil manner.
I personally thought the following words might be offensive to many people on the site.
"or lo! your 'illness' might even deteriorate"
Because it basically tells everybody here that their illness is fabricated.
