Have you tried AVG anti virus?? I find their free version excellent - obviously a pay for version will be better, but you only get 24 hour delay on their free version normally which I find fine to save me some cash!

And the dial up accelorators are mean't to be good.. I've never used one personally, but for $2 I'd say give it a shot!!
