pegasus,
I belive that you are seeing the crux of the matter. I feel that if a post goes unattended by a moderator, that there is the potential for others to think that the statement in question is endorsed by the moderator. I am only responding to the FAQ here that states that one could post on the administrative board a post that they want the moderator to see,and I do so in order to have a determination made so that I can be able to either also write or not write what is in the post in question and so that others could have the opportunity also to know by the determination. There have been posts determined to be acceptable and posts that need to be revised or rephrased, and some have been told to be civil by the moderator. I sometimes disagree with the modertor and then we could have dialog and continue. There have been these types also.
But the administrative board is open to all posters to request a determination. I feel that more support could come out of determinations.
I have a masters in school administration. There are different schools of thought about administrtaive theory. Mine may be different from others, but that does not mean that it is wrong. In fact, Dr. Hsiung has posted that he in some way aopproves of the requests to be out in the open.
My administrative theory says that I am to attempt to solve things at the lowest possible level. I think that the administrative board is the lowest possible level. After that, one could go to another level, but I think that things could be settled on the administrative board.
Lou
