Dr. Bob's post encouraged you to clarify what you meant by the first statement which is useful to readers. As for the second, that does sound judgemental of others and their intentions for their actions.

I think that you expressed yourself very well and very clearly. I do not take issue with the content of what you have said, but think that your choice of phrasing was unfortunate. Dr. Bob has given you the chance to clarify what you intended to communicate; whether, for example you meant to be judgemental of others intentions or whether you did not mean that quite the way it came across.

I don't think that Dr. Bob (or anyone) took issue with your content, just your choice of expression in two places.

I, for one am interested in your thoughts and what you have to say - though I also agree with the civility rules.

A while ago I was asked to rephrase 'I refuse to believe you are so dysregulated as to have absolutely no control over your posting style'. Such a technique is known as extending and the thought is that you draw the persons logic to an extreme in order to show that the conclusion is 'absurd'. But such a technique can misfire - and sound brutal, uncaring, and judgemental. I don't think I was required to change my opinion, just to phrase it in a civil way.

I do not think that is too much to ask.

It can be hard to be civil (in the babble definition of civility) - but we have the opportunity to learn. Aren't we lucky?
