Where was that? I guess there are two issues, the word itself and how it's used. With asterisks, the word itself is OK.

I asterisk words when I quote them, but I don't edit them into the original posts... That's a good idea regarding my standard response...

Initials are OK. As are "gosh darn" and "fricking" even if spelled out... FYI, there's now a system: words or phrases are problematic if considered often or usually disparaging, obscene, offensive, or vulgar by Merriam-Webster OnLine. And it's easy to check something while you're posting, just paste it into the box and click "check spelling".
