I was not suggesting that anyone commit suicide to feel victorious (perhaps my example, in which the woman did essentially that, was ill-chosen). What I was suggesting was that if one reframe ones stance toward from one of "defeat" to one of "victory", then from that empowered space one does not have to commit suicide at all!
