Yes blocking is a form of confronting honestly.

Of course. I realize that it is an individual thing. Not every one can tolerate honesty. Which by the way, is probably the word I should have used instead of "reality therapy".
I have a reputation as "a tough old broad", but in fifteen years of practice, I have never had a client terminate because of my being honest.
I shall attempt to be judicious in further posts. I was addressing the over-done "self-esteem" business as an issue in our whole society/culture. I shall attempt to be judicious in further posts. MB
