Lar,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Granting early release to one person while others remain blocked is yet another example of the inconsistent enforcement of the rules on this site. Having said that, however, I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I am not going to be able to change the administrative inconsistencies. Therefore, I had to ask myself: Should I throw the baby out with the wash and leave PB or should I stay and try to contribute where I can, realizing that no place is perfect? I chose the latter.
Although I frequently disagree with the administrators decisions, I believe that he genuinely tries to do what he thinks is in the best interest of this electronic community. And let’s face it, it’s a difficult task to moderate a site with this much traffic. Is the administration of this site perfect? No. Is the site worthwhile in spite of its imperfections? Yeah, I think so.
I’m not suggesting that we refrain from pointing out the administrative inconsistencies and apparent injustices.
I'm very happy that you're staying!
