If you presented to your therapist that vls's threat was serious, then I can understand the feelings of outrage at Bob's response. But really, go back and take a look - no one took vls's words seriously, including, presumably and most importantly, those who knew her and were possibly the target of her threats. And under no possible construction, could you be thought to be the target of this threat. So it's not quite clear to me why you're scared now, 6 or 7 days later.
That's a good point I was just more rolling my eyes like there goes bob again and my MD asked that question . But I really wasn't really freaked out until I read Noa's post
> w>He wants to know how many weeks would you block a poster if he actually killed one of your other posters? This post really scares me. I find it very upsetting and frightening.
Noa is always so level headed I thought if she is upset and frightened I should be too! So I got a little over emotional espescially after I went back and looked at the original post which looked like a diagram of a gun. I'm much less emotional the morning after the night before of course.I had also e-mailed bob earlier about a personal matter somewhat connected with this and he had never gotten back to me. So that added to my tension.
So that's why although it's emotional more than rational. And I'm not as much frightened this morning as just creeped out and had enough. And I still think death threats should be removed from the board even if they are jokes or not in bob's opinion serious. Thanks for taking the time to ask.I really appreciate that. And thanks for giving me your asessment of the situation. I trust your perceptions. They were very helpful
> We could all get a little unhinged trying to find total consistency in Bob's posting policies, but it seems to be that as a general rule, he is more likely to come down on a poster who has posted something which puts down another poster or which is calculated to hurt someone's feelings. He did block vls for making such an emotionally charged statement, but I really think vls's statement fell into the "angry ranting against the world" category, and judging by the reactions of other posters, I think others took it the same way. I'm sure if the intended recipient found this to be a genuine threat, Bob's reaction would have seemed more appropriate to you.
