People are always free to apologize. But I'd rather there weren't offending comments in the first place.

This has been discussed before. One issue is how supportive it would be to have people voting against each other. Plus there are technical issues...

What about those who are offended? What kind of treatment do they deserve?

Discussion is fine, and I try to be open-minded, but IMO, it ain't too broke...
