We are all overwrougt right now. Seeing the last line of your post reminds me of some of my own when I'm thisclose to dropping my head on the keyboard and never raising it again.
There is enough love here for everyone, including you, I mean the special and enduring connections you've made w/ others. Those are real, just b/c we can't get together w/ everyone doesn't diminish the friendships we do build.
Zo and Dinah, Dinah and Zo, you two are fire and ice or am I overstating the case? One day we'll all look back and grin at this, how desperately we all try to forge our identities into the minds of others, as if something momentous depended on complete and unvarnished acceptance, but we're not therapists, that unconditional positive regard we all seek costs 125 bucks an hour in the town I live in.
IMHO right now our healing rests on clinging to the tried and tested soft and fuzzies we know are out there, and putting the pricklies on hold while we try to deal w/ our communal and incomprehensible loss.
