I am still wondering if the above subject line can really be said to be Civil. It bothers my sense of civility, the way it names one person without naming her, comments on her without commenting.

Anyone involved knows who "rolled her eyes"--and I doubt there is anyone here who interprets that subject line as a compliment to Elizabeth.

So how can that be considered civil?

Just because something. .. unfortunate. . .has been accomplished without seeming to have done anything. . . 'Twas certainly accomplished, nonetheless.

I am genuinely curious---am I painting with too fine a brush here? I'd like to understand how this relates--or doesn't--to Civil.

Thanks,
Zo
