hmmm, drdashbob, once again, the elementary school teacher trainee simple minded brain kicks in...and, be forwarned, I think backwards.
And, I dont know who first said this, but 'it is not the answers that are important, it is the questions you ask'.
First consider how are you going to tally this survey ? How much work do you want to do as the 'survey tallier'?
Will the survey taker need to come prepared with two, sharpened, number twoB pencils?
There could be an introduction to the survey which includes an explanation of how to answer, ie, (For example you will see a question followed by a choice for a number from one to ten)
Question: How helpful have you found the posts on PB to be in your search for specific information on the psychiatric medicines you take:
(one being least helpful to ten being very helpful)
answer: (10)Other ranges:
one being least often to ten being most often
one being least responsive to ten being most responsive
one being least clear to ten being most clearIf the survey asks for the same 'relative' answer to all your questions, the test taker doesnt have to refigure how to answer the question...
even tho it may appear 'repetative', it would be simpler.
And, i am sure there are programs that can add up and chart all the answers and give you nifty results.
