Is there an end?

Posted by linkadge on January 3, 2022, at 17:33:41

So, I wanted to be optimistic about the ability of science to solve the COVID problem. Yet, with the latest strain, I am (on occasion) finding myself flirting with the possibility that science cannot actually solve the problem. I.e. continual variants, continual shutdowns etc.

Basically, I feel that (after 2 years) we're really nowhere (although I acknowledge that this feeling may be exaggerated or incorrect).

I realize that this may or may not be the case. I'm just trying to realistically establish some basis of hope. I'd like to believe the experts, but the the track record is getting hazier.

I'm not so much worried about health (on a personal level) but more for a potential loss of way of life.

Sorry,

Linkadge
