Exactly. Of course too, it can interact with psych meds. For example, the dopamine release from THC would be dramatically prolonged /enhanced (in theory) if you were taking a dopamine reuptake inhibitor.
I find the oils a bit easier to dose too (more consistent). Although the effects take a bit longer to set in, and last a bit longer. This is more beneficial, for treating a mood disorder (don't want the 'high' perse and the up/down).There is the pain/pleasure axis of depression theory (very simplistic) whereby a normal mood is somewhere between depression and euphoria. The idea that you can take the 'right amount' of a euphoriant to feel normal.
The brain dose have 'anandamide' (THC equivalent) which may be out of balance in depression / anxiety. The idea is to just take the right amount of THC to activate the CB1/2 system without euphoria / impairment.
