After all of these years, I have never heard that. I guess I should look into it.
Nortriptyline is the TCA that is most thoroughly studied with respect to therapeutic blood levels. If in doubt, take blood tests to guide your choice of dosage.
blood level range = 50 - 150 ng/ml
