> KatNo, no! Don't do that! I gained a lot of weight from AAPs (which I have since lost) and had mildly artritic knees which became horribly painful with the excess weight. So I know how awful it can be. And to mot be able to comfortably go for a walk when you're depressed makes everything that much worse. But you do have to steel yourself mentally for a knee replacement. My husband, who is totally hyperactive, geared himself up for weeks of inactivity. We got all the premium cable channels and watched tons of TV. You just need to prepare yourself mentally, which is hard if you're fighting depression. But good luck. Keep us posted.
