Caution
Negative psychological effects, some severe, have been reported. They include aggression, anxiety, depression, delusions, hallucinations, mania and suicidal thoughts. Anyone with a history of psychiatric problems should use Provigil with caution.
Warning
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires a black box warning for Provigil because it may cause Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a dangerous skin condition.
