Update: I am now going to try D-Aspartic Acid / Sarcosine combination that is being marketed as a testosteorne raising powder for bodybuilders. However some on the schizophrenia.com message boards have been trying it successfully for negative symptoms associated with NMDA hypofunction in schizophrenia.

This is a bit risky considering NMDA hyperfunction is one of the mechanisms postulated to cause glutamatergic excitotoxicity in depression and bipolar disorder, but i'm going to try and and see if it can help mood and motivation at all. I think its more complicated than just increase/decrease activity.

I'll let you know how things go.
