2 antipsychotics?

I have had a bit of a break. Due to an allergic reaction to some bee stings I had to get a steroid shot and after about 30 hours I had become manic.
My doc suggested since the Geodon puts me to sleep during the day maybe I should take a low dose of Abilify during the day and Geodon at night.
Really?
I've heard people taking Seroquel at night and another antipsychotic during the day.
Last time I tried Abilify I started gaining weight. I cannot gain any weight, so I am afraid of trying it.
Anyone take 2 antipsychotics?
Would taking a dose as low as 1 - 2mg during the day make me sleepy and fat?
Risperdal also makes me gain weight.
Geodon is weight neutral for me.
I also take Klonopin, which has helped since the steroid shot, but not enough.
My nighttime Geodon dose wears off and I have to have to have something now during the day.
No more steroids if I can help it.
