I've been told that I should be getting the Parnate soon -- thank goodness.
I've been on Parnate for 22 years. No complete remission, but I have other health problems (sleep apnea ans PLMD, to name a couple).
I once tried stopping Parnate at the suggestion of a cardiologist. Nothing worked, and Lexapro and, Cymbalta made me worse. Effexor help with the Depression, but triggered hypomania. Some say Bipolar, but if so, it's a very hypomanic type.
I personally would never take an SSRI. They are like poison to me. Same for Cymbalta. I take Folic Acid and B12, also, but their value is hard to assess. Lamictal was added after my experience with Effexor, and it helps some. Clonazepam for sleep, due to Parnate's stimulating effects, is a necessity. I've been on it for about 14 years. Have never gone above 2mg at bedtime. Wouldn't give it up for anything at this point.
