Parnate is working and trazodone for sleep?

Posted by Monica L on December 7, 2009, at 15:44:07

Well, I have good news, the parnate is starting to kick in!! I've noticed a really big difference in the mornings, I actually wake up in a good mood and can get going. I think I'm experiencing some mid day fatigue, but then when I'm ready for bed sometimes I can't fall asleep. So I called my pdoc and asked him if he could prescribe something for sleep and he called in trazodone for me. I dont' know too much about this med and was just wondering what others experiences where with it. I'm also wondering why he didn't just call in ambien for me instead, why another antidepressant? I just hate to start taking something for depression when I really just need something for sleep.
