i have briefly come across mention that beta adrenergic receptors have unhelpful, anticognitive aside from pro-agitation and aggression qualities, while alpha-2 are the opposite. can anyone expand in detail?
is there any way this mechanism is pro-dopaminergic, or corrects an inbalance brought about by dopaminergic dysregulation?
i blew off propranolol, with it being a 5-HT1A antagonist. i hope this isn't one as well.
looking for tx that takes into account my whole syndrome and gets to the root of the cause which can be summed up as: tardive akathisia + anhedonia/inertia + cognitive, with most sx tying into/relating to these dimensions.
