There is no way to predict sexual side effects, so don't even bother. The idea is to get well.
Example. Selegiline (oral version of Ensam) is noted for sexual enhancement. Guess what, it made me totally useless in that department.
I can show you people who got strong sex lives from Zoloft, Prozac, and Lexapro, when for most people those things will kill sex.
So forget the sex prediction thing. It happens or it doesn't, but it is an individual thing that varies dramatically from person to person.
Try reading what Dr Gillman at www.psychotropical.com has to say about MAOIs. He prefers Parnate because it has fewer side effects and fewer liver interactions with other meds. And he has just seen it work more often. He says that while he has treated over 1000 patients with Parnate, only 50 ended up on Nardil as a second choice. His third choice was a Zoloft+Nortriptyline or Zoloft+Reboxetine combo.
I am not a fair judge since I have only taken tiny amounts of Parnate for very short times. In those trials I did experience heightened sex desire and ability. During a two week trial of Ensam I had zero desire and zero ability. Never tried Nardil, but I think general consensus is that its anorgasmia is difficult but eases up a lot in the longterm, 6 to 12 months.
